Piano Music Lovers

   Here at Atlanta Piano Tuner, we are not under any illusions about what it is we are doing, in-fact what it is we are affecting when it comes to piano tuning, piano repair, piano refurbishing, piano rebuilding, piano refinishing, and piano moving.  Our motive, our goal, and our every conscious intention boils down to two distinct elements.  First and foremost we further the cause of music in the only way we can, and we strive to offer a top quality product with an eye to profitability.  We will not tell you we will be the cheapest piano tuning, piano repair and piano service company around, but we will strive to be the best....and to offer the best value for your hard earned dollar.

     When it comes to music, our sincere opinion as music people is that in this day and age there is more of a need than ever for music that feeds the spirit.  The lofty goal of education in general is to equip our brains to handle the reality of problems, success, pain, pleasure, and above all else the reality of spirit.  Simply seeing these things without the responsibility taken to place them in their proper places in our lives IS the difference between thinking.... and thinking well.  We need to pursue whatever means we can to better understand that part of ourselves we have no clear words to describe.

     Why music?  It speaks to our spirits.  If you stop and think about it, how many times have you yourself experienced music's calming effect after a hectic day, music's way of washing over you instilling peace in a mind that may have been racing with responsibilities, worries, and the like?  We need music.  Not the contemporary imitation that while furnishing beat, rhythm, and musical notes severely lacks in speaking peace.  The best description, and the most benevolent one going around recently is that a surprising amount of today's "music" is simply mean spirited.  Here's one of the meanings of the word 'mean'.  That definition is: poor, without resource...

     There have been studies that learning to play the piano can actually increase the brain's capacity to think well.  The increasing number of synapses that occur as we bring hand to eye coordination to perfection (never attained, but a worthy goal nonetheless), the increased memory capacity with its serendipities as piece by piece we commit proper music to its rightful place in our heads and hearts, and the overall training of our most important muscle, the brain, makes learning music one of life's most worthwhile endeavors.    We are piano tuners who tune pianos truly caring about music, because in my opinion piano tuning is where the rubber meets the road when a player sits down to play a piano that I have tuned.  If I have done the piano tuning well, then the individual's spirit will be ministered to as they play.

     When I repair a piano I'm seeking to optimize the feel and sound of the piano to further the cause of music.  Piano repair then becomes something of a mission.  This is why I take piano repair so seriously.

     When we go one step beyond piano repair to piano refurbishment, we are removing the band-aid and going one step further down the road to restore your instrument to its original ability to serve your musical needs.  Many times we'll term a piano repair - piano refurbishment/ piano restoration when we're taking old worn components and bringing the original component back to the state of general overall good piano repair.

     Piano rebuilding is when we are taking your piano, removing all worn components to replace or repair them to bring your piano back to like new functionality or as close as we can take your instrument to like new functionality.  Piano rebuilding means just that...  piano REBUILDING.
